Thompson Pump demonstrates leadership and commitment with respect to its health and safety management system including promoting continual improvement and taking accountability for the effectiveness of the health and safety management system.

Thompson Pump determines and provides the resources needed for the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the health and safety management system.
CONSULTATION AND PARTICIPATION OF WORKERS
Thompson Pump maintains processes for consultation and participation of workers at all applicable levels and functions in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions for improvement of the health and safety management system.
HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEE
Thompson Pump utilizes a safety committee which includes representatives from various departments, roles, and levels within the organization to help identify and address potential safety hazards, develop and implement safety policies and procedures, and facilitate communication and cooperation among employees.
OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND CONTROL
Thompson Pump plans, implements, controls, and maintains processes to identify and assess potential safety hazards and implements appropriate risk controls to reduce or eliminate risks associated with these potential safety hazards.
COMPLIANCE OBLIGATIONS
Thompson Pump determines the compliance obligations related to its health and safety aspects and takes these compliance obligations into account when establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving its health and safety management system.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE
Thompson Pump establishes, implements, and maintains the processes needed to prepare for and respond to potentially emergency situations including the provision of first aid.
OUTSOURCED FUNCTIONS AND PROCESSES
Thompson Pump ensures that any outsourced functions and processes are controlled or influenced to achieve intended outcomes of the health and safety management system.
SAFETY AUDITS
Periodic internal audits are conducted, in addition to the regularly scheduled registration audits, to check and verify our health and safety management system and to ensure that our system is effective.
MANAGEMENT REVIEW
Thompson Pump reviews its health and safety management system at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.
