HEADER PIPE

    Used to direct ground water to the pump. The Thompson style header pipe includes a valve to adjust the flow of the system.  Available in 6” diameter pipe.

    6in Grommet Style Header Pipe

    The header pipe is used to direct ground water to the pump. The rubber grommet fits into the 6” header pipe to create a seal between the header pipe and the swing joint.

    Specs: 20’ long x 6” diameter schedule 40 PVC, six grommets are drilled into the pipe at 3’ intervals.

    The PVC 1.5” economy wellpoint is the industry standard for dewatering due to its light weight, durability, and affordability. Utilized in conjunction with punches or stingers and applicable sand filter packs, the economy wellpoint is compatible with a wide range of soils where groundwater needs to be controlled.

    Specs: 3’ long x 1.5” diameter, schedule 40 PVC with 0.016” slots on three sides of the pipe.

    GAT Wellpoint

    The GAT wellpoint is PVC with a drop tube and with its flat bottom makes it capable of self-jetting. Suitable for a wide range of soil conditions where groundwater control is a must, the GAT wellpoint is well balanced option for durability and affordability. Its built-in drop tube routes groundwater to the bottom of the wellpoint to allow for maximum drawdown regardless of screen exposure above the water table. This inner drop tube also reduces dissipation of pressure through the screen, which allows for a more effective jet when utilizing the self-jetting feature for installation.

    Specs: 3’ long x 1.5” diameter, schedule 40 PVC with 0.016” slots on three sides of the pipe.

    Steel Wellpoint

    The 2” self-jetting steel wellpoint features the toughest material construction to match the toughest soil conditions. Its durable construction allows for prolonged use on longer term dewatering projects as well as reuse capability over multiple installations. Its built-in galvanized steel drop tube routes groundwater to the bottom of the wellpoint to allow for maximum drawdown regardless of screen exposure above the water table. This inner drop tube also reduces dissipation of pressure through the screen. The drop tube and aluminum thrust generating head allows for a more effective jet when utilizing the self-jetting feature for installation.

    Specs: 3’ long x 2” diameter, schedule 40 PVC with 0.016” slots on three sides of the pipe surrounding the galvanized steel drop tube.

SWING JOINT

    Ball Valve Swing Joint

    Swing joint made of clear flexible PVC hose reinforced with a white helix that connects the riser pipe to the grommet in the header pipe.  This is used with grommet style header pipe.  The integral ball valve allows for control flow of air and water to the header pipe from the wellpoints.

    The steel jet fitting assembly attaches to the water source via the elbow, and then to a self-jetting wellpoint, where the water is pressurized through the tip of the wellpoint itself.

    The steel jet punch is used for installing wellpoints into soft clay and sand. The punch head is attached to a bucket on an excavator or backhoe. Then a hose is connected to a pump to use as a water source.  The water goes through the shaft of the punch and forces the water in to the tip of the punch to create a hole for the wellpoint and riser.
