Responsible for safely operating various trucks, completing appropriate paperwork, deliver’s and picks up in a courteous and timely manner
Will assist with material handling and yard duties.
Ability to work nights and weekends on rotating on-call basis if required
Possesses and maintain Class A CDL license with Air Brake & Hazmat endorsement.
Must bend, stoop, reach, climb and lift varying loads (up to 75lbs).

Support outside sales staff in efforts to build and maintain customer relationships and sell portable, engine-driven pumps to national accounts, distributors, contractors, municipalities, mines, and other Thompson Pump customers.
Prepare sale and rental quotes, municipal bids, and other proposals requiring technical specifications.
Handle incoming sales calls, prospect new customers through telemarketing and internet research, qualify leads, and build customer profiles.
Work closely with outside sales representatives, branch managers, National Accounts Manager, and International Sales Manager, assisting with activities such as location of equipment, equipment delivery, and various special projects.
Maintain files for quotes and bids; report and track such information in designated systems.
Meet periodically with company executives and present pertinent sales data.
Perform data entry for sale and rental orders; process client purchase orders.
Bi-lingual a plus
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum one year work experience
Must possess basic computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Solicit sales and rentals to contractors, municipalities and industrial accounts for a complete line of dewatering and bypass pumps, equipment and accessories throughout the branch territory.
Educate customers and prospects on Thompson’s full line of pumps and equipment.
Promote and grow Thompson’s capabilities in the areas of equipment maintenance, service and repairs.
Make routine site visits, conduct product demos, represent Thompson at trade shows and attend bid conferences.
Instruct customers on proper operation and use of equipment.
Experience in sales and installing sewer by-pass and dewatering systems
Experience in the sales or rental of portable construction pumps is highly desired.
A good mechanical aptitude and an understanding of the principles for diesel engines and pumps
Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficient mathematical skills
Very good people and project management skills
An Associates’ Degree (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
Required to lift up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Supervise and participate in all shop and field activities including but not limited to; shop and field service of customer units and rental fleet units, equipment testing, and assuring that all rental equipment is maintained
Knowledge of electrical submersible pumps is a plus.
Supervisory experience & High School Diploma/GED required
Certified to drive vehicles up to 26,000 lbs.

Follows technical drawings and plans in the fabrication of pump components utilizing various welding techniques to create a joints and/or or intersections of two metal pieces. Applies standardized metal cutting, layout and manufacturing processes in the performance of duties.
Ensures welded joints are strong and move on to the next joint called for in the plan.
Applies ARC, MIG, and oxygen / acetylene welding methods to fabricate pump components and to perform structural repairs on pumps and pump components.
Requisitions equipment, parts, supplies and materials used in the welding/fabrication area.
Knowledge of industrial hydraulic pumps, including diagnosing and troubleshooting, is preferred but not required.
High School diploma or GED required; graduate of a technical/vocational training program is preferred.
Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the operating principles of ARC, MIG, and oxygen/acetylene welding, cutting and brazing.
